Cryolipolysis

Cryolipolysis or fat freezing works by lowering the temperature in within the treatment area down to -6 degrees. This targets fat cells, causing the body to break them down while leaving all other cells intact. Typical results are visible from 8-12 weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which areas can be improved with cryolipolysis?

cryolipolysis is best for targeting those stubborn areas of fat that just won’t shift. Typical areas ideal for fat freezing include upper arms, lower abdomen, hips and inner thighs.

  • What results can I expect from this treatment?

On average you will see a 20% - 40% reduction of the fat in the localised area. As the body takes several months to breakdown the affected fat cells, results will be visible after approximately 8-12 weeks.

A healthy diet, regular exercise and drinking plenty of water will aid the process. These results can be permanent as long as a healthy lifestyle is maintained.

  • How many treatments are recommended?

Fat freezing is recommended as a one-off treatment. However, your therapist can create a tailored treatment plan to provide the best possible results which may include combining cryolipolysis with other technologies.

  • What will I experience during treatment?

To protect your skin, the treatment begins with the placement of an anti-freeze pad to the area of concern. The fat is then drawn into a suction cup before freezing, this will provide a slight pulling sensation. The area goes cold and then goes numb after a few minutes. The handpiece will be on the area from 30 - 60 minutes to depending on the size of the area being treated.

Lipo Cavitation

Fat loss with immediate results on the measuring tape, cavitation is a natural phenomenon based on low frequency ultrasound. The ultrasound produces a strong wave of pressure to fat cell membranes. A fat cell cannot withstand this pressure causes them to rupture, the debris is then swept away by your lymphatic system.
